TixWorth

How TixWorth works

TixWorth is a ticket price comparison site, not a ticket seller. It compares listings from 11 partner marketplaces on one page per event, shows every price per ticket before fees, and sends you to the marketplace you choose to buy.

Listings in the current catalogue come from 11 of those marketplaces: 2,899 listings for 23 upcoming events, last updated on .

Which marketplaces are compared

TixWorth works with 11 partner marketplaces. The table lists them, the buyer fee TixWorth estimates for each and how it delivers tickets. Fee rates are TixWorth's estimates, not figures published by the marketplaces: the exact amount is shown at the marketplace's checkout.

How prices are shown

Every price is per ticket and before marketplace fees, because that is the one number all marketplaces share. Event pages show prices in the venue's currency (pounds in the UK, euros in France and Spain, dollars in the US). Hub pages, such as a team or a venue, convert the lowest price of each event to US dollars with fixed exchange rates so events can be compared.

Turn on Show prices including estimated fees on an event page and each price becomes price x (1 + the marketplace's estimated fee rate), rounded to the nearest unit. A marketplace with no buyer fee shows the same price either way.

How Best Deal and Lowest price are computed

Tags are computed from the listings of the event, with the same rules on the page and in the API. They are never paid for and never random.

  • Lowest price: the cheapest listing of the event, per ticket before fees.
  • Best Deal: the listing with the lowest deal score. Deal score = (price / median price of its seating area) x (1 - (seller rating - 4) x 0.08), with the seller rating out of 5. A ticket priced under its area's usual price, from a well rated seller, scores best.
  • Last tickets in this section: the only listing left in its section, with at most 2 tickets.
  • Top Picks (the default order): deal score x (1.15 - seller rating x 0.05), so better rated sellers move up. You can also sort by price or by deal score.
  • Map colours: each section's cheapest listing against its area median. Up to 85% of the median is a great price, up to 102% good, up to 130% fair, above that high.

How often the data updates

Pages are rebuilt from the TixWorth catalogue each time it is refreshed. The catalogue was last updated on , and every event page shows the date of the prices it displays. Resale prices move all the time, so the marketplace always has the final price and availability.

Who handles payment, delivery and guarantees

The marketplace does. When you choose a listing, TixWorth records the click and sends you to that marketplace with the number of tickets you picked. You pay on the marketplace's site, it delivers the tickets (mobile transfer, e-ticket or paper, as listed) and its own buyer guarantee and refund rules apply. TixWorth never sees your payment details. Questions about an order go to the marketplace you bought from.

How TixWorth makes money

TixWorth may earn a commission from a marketplace when you click through to it and buy. Commissions have no effect on the order of listings or on the tags above: the formulas use price, seating area and seller rating only.

Frequently asked questions

Does TixWorth sell tickets?

No. TixWorth is a comparison site. It shows listings from partner marketplaces and sends you to the marketplace you choose, which sells the ticket, takes the payment and delivers it.

Do TixWorth prices include fees?

No, prices are shown per ticket before marketplace fees. Turn on "Show prices including estimated fees" to add each marketplace's estimated buyer fee; the exact total is shown at the marketplace's checkout.

How is the Best Deal tag calculated?
